Elevate your oatmeal with these vegan protein powders

If you’re like me and you like to add a little plant-based protein powder to your oatmeal (morning or night), then you are probably selective about your options.

Having reviewed a bunch of vegan protein powders, I’ve found a few go-to options that pack great flavor and nutrition and mix well with oatmeal. So, here are my top 3 best vegan protein powders for oatmeal.

Vega Sport Protein

Vega Sport Protein is one of the best-tasting vegan protein powders for oatmeal. Between Peanut Butter, Vanilla, and Chocolate flavors, each makes for a decadent addition to any form of oats.

My favorite is the Peanut Butter. It’s a nice complement to otherwise unflavored oatmeal, especially with a liberal spoonful of actual peanut butter.

Vega Sport Protein is also a nutritional powerhouse, packing a heavy dose of amino acids (5 grams of BCAAs), as well as other recovery-enhancing ingredients like cherry, bromelain, and turmeric.

Orgain Simple Protein

This is one of the best-tasting vegan protein powders on the market and it’s especially delicious in oatmeal. Orgain Simple Protein comes in three distinct flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter. All of them are delicious, but Vanilla and Peanut Butter are my favorites.

Orgain Simple Creamy Vanilla Protein Powder

Orgain Simple Protein is made of recognizable ingredients, such as organic almonds, organic peanuts, organic chia seeds, organic pumpkin seeds, organic golden pea, and organic coconut sugar.

Orgain Simple Protein is one of the few protein powders without stevia and does not contain any artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, thickeners, or gums. Arguably one of the healthiest options, this is one protein powder that has a delicious, malty flavor that works wonderfully in oatmeal.

Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein

If you’re looking to prioritize nutrition without compromising on taste, Garden of Life’s Raw Organic Protein (or flagship “Raw Protein” powder) is a top pick. Made with no sugar, it’s a keto protein powder option and one that tastes exceptionally delicious.

Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Unflavored Stevia Free

Available in four flavors, Vanilla, Vanilla Chai, Chocolate, and Unflavored (which is also stevia-free), the latter three add a lot of depth to your oatmeal.

My favorite is Vanilla Chai, a semi-sweet option with a great balance of chai spice and vanilla bean. It’s one of the best vegan protein powders for oats and baking alike.

It’s also stacked with an organic, raw vegan protein blend and offers one of the highest concentrations of vitamins and minerals, including Selenium, Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, and Molybdenum as well as Vitamins A, E, D, and K.

PlantFusion Complete Protein

An underrated protein powder for oatmeal and beyond, PlantFusion Complete Protein is one tasty option that actually uses a bit of real sugar. There are five total flavors: Rich Chocolate, Creamy Vanilla Bean, Red Velvet Cake, Cookies and Cream, and Natural Stevia Free.

PlantFusion Complete Protein Powder Creamy Vanilla Bean

I have tested the first two flavors of PlantFusion Complete Protein and they were and continue to be, a top choice for me. It’s a very refined (in a good way) protein powder that blends well with any, especially oatmeal. And both flavors were especially creamy and dessert-like.

The product is also gluten-free, soy-free, and rice-free, PlantFusion Complete Protein is a USDA-certified organic option that’s free of GMOs, preservatives, and any artificial colors or flavors.
